Field Trip to Miller Farms

Today we went to Miller Farms on our first kindergarten field trip! To get there, we got to ride in cars with our friends which means that we got to stay longer than if we would have taken a bus. When we got there, we took a hay ride through fields to pick potatoes, tomatoes, carrots, onions, beans, peppers, pumpkins, and corn. After we were finished picking, we got to eat lunch and then play on all of the fun things. Some of us even went through the corn maze! Now that we all have lots of veggies at home, let me know what you are going to do with them!

The Williams crew made salsa with some of the tomatoes. We are still figuring out what we will use the other veggies for. We had a blast on the field trip!

We (Archer and fam) made onion, potato, carrot, tomato, green bean, cabbage and ground beef soup. I ate all of it, mmmmmmmm good. It was soooo good that we made it again this week, and maybe we'll make a pumpkin pie too. Thanks Ms. Baker for such an awesome field trip!

oooh! I want to go to Miller Farms! I would definitely make a pumpkin pie and a tomato carrot rosemary stir fry. Were there mushrooms?
