Michelangelo

Today we learned about a new artist: Michelangelo. We learned that he painted the Sistine Chapel in Italy and it took him a little over 4 years. While he did not have to paint the whole thing on his back, he did have to bend over backwards for long hours to paint the high ceiling. We also learned that he nearly went blind because of paint falling into his eyes! Check out the videos to see how we were Michelangelo today!

How adorable! And sooo creative to have the children experience how Michelangelo painted...they all say his name so well too! I wish I would have had a teacher like you.

I just realized I can click on the photos and they blow up full size.
