4th of July

We get to learn about the 4th of July in Kindergarten, but unfortunately we do not have school in July so we are unable to celebrate it. We decided to celebrate anyway in March! We sang songs (2 students even taught us a new song), played with bubbles, sang Happy Birthday to our country, and ate red, white, and blue cookies! We learned that the
4th of July is our country's birthday and that our country will be 233 years old this year. Our counrty became the United States of America on July 4, 1776 when Thomas Jefferson wrote the Declaration of Independece to free us from England!
